Visuals

Visual aids can be a very powerful tool to make a presentation sound good and well prepared. Images presented can appeal directly to audience's imagination, which helps thinking better about the product and thus giving better views about it. Images can be used from the introduction to the conclusion, as they fit in perfectly in every part of a presentation. Images make the audience understand more about your material and your main aspect of the presentation. We have some Do's and Dont's for the visual as discussed below:

Do's:

  • Always keep the background simple, making the picture more visible to the audience.
  • Use animations when appropriate.
  • Use bullets rather than making it more of an essay.

Dont's:

  • Use small font, that audience sitting at the back can't see or read properly.
  • Use a fussy background image, making the picture less visible to the audience.
  • Over do the animation.

Always keep it simple making it easier to understand for the audience. One of the main thing is to consider culture. You should know about the religious believes of your audience in order not to hurt anyone's feelings or to make anyone offended.

Body Language

Body language is a vital form of communication which can make your presentation the best or worst. When your body language is deliberate it shows how confident you are, you are happy to be where you are and doing what you are doing. It makes you look more passionate about your job and current task that you are going to discuss. To bring movement to your speech and for a change, just walk in the space you have on the stage or where you are standing. Posture is one of the positive method of showing your sincerity , integrity and interest in your presentation and product, which makes you a good believer and helps you building a relationship with the audience. Our posture tells a lot about our level of confidence. You should avoid the following in your posture while you are presenting:
  •  You should not fold your arms across your chest, that makes you slouch and makes you disconnected from the audience.
  • Hands on hips, which makes you like a teacher or above the audience and sometimes it also shows that you are about to scold someone
  • Rocking back or forth which makes you less confident and more nervous about what you are doing and how well you are prepared.
Gestures also help a lot to gain attention while you are presenting. You should always smile which makes you look a cheerful person and a positive attitude towards your job or given task. You should use positive gestures like nodding, that makes you look more confident.

Eye Contact

The best thing that can happen to you as a presenter is making audience see your product the same as you see it. Most likely this results in audience making decision in your favor. Focusing your eyes help you concentrate on what you are doing, but they distract you from your topic and slowing you down. Eye contact is again a gesture of confidence that you have yourself , in your product and how well you are prepared for the task. Confidence is the first thing that you want to gain of your audience as a presenter because it helps the presenter in many ways. It builds a unique relationship between the presenter and the audience, that results in working and thinking together about different aspects of the product. Eye contact is the best method of communicating and the best attribute of human expression. It makes you a believer and shows your sincerity and integrity which helps you in having a good relationship with the audience and making your presentation alive.

Asking Questions

Asking questions is the most effective way to make you a good presenter and makes your product more efficient and stand good in the market. Asking questions make you sound more confident about yourself and your product and this also counts to your personality and your attitude towards your job. A well timed question can make your presentation and your product a good one. Questions also make your presentation alive. For example, if you are noticing that audience is not paying attention to your presentation, you can start asking questions to make them reconnect to your presentation and give you their views about your product. Questions may vary from the price of the product to the future aspects of the product, basically this helps a presenter getting a different point of view from which he can think more ways to make his product better and live a longer life in the market and also improve it if the audience points out any flaws. "Polling Questions" are the most effective one that a presenter can ask the audience. It gives you a percentage, a proper number that how well will your product is going to do in the market. Numbers always help you, giving you a way how to improve and to what extent.

Introduction

Introduction is the one of the main method, which helps speaker getting the attention of the audience. If the reason of being in that room and listening to the presentation is not clear, then the viewers will not catch each and every thing that speaker wants them to. Introduction must have some catchy words that get the audience's attention. Introduction also relates to the way you greet your seniors/peers,  your outfit, this all adds up to your personality and your confidence for the presentation. If you are not professionally dressed, it does not make you sound serious for your presentation. Audience plays an important role in marketing your product which you are presenting. They tell you the advantages of your product and they also help you to work on disadvantages of your product, to make it best in the market. With audience not showing any concern about your presentation, you can not be a successful business man. You can not succeed and your product will not be the best that others can get.
